Privately owned, family run, seafront hotel.

 

 


The Lancaster

We provide the service of a small family owned hotel. The hotel has been run by the Ramage family since 1963. The hotel can accommodate up to fifty people. Our aim is to make your holiday a success, as comfortable, and as enjoyable as possible. We hope to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Whether you come for leisure, pleasure or business, we hope you enjoy yourself. 

The Position of the Lancaster and directions to it. It is on the sea front Next to St. Columba's Cathedral, on the North side of the bay looking down Kerrera sound. 

If you enter the town from the North, you will come down a hill, At the bottom  you come to a roundabout. Get into the right lane and go towards the sea. You will come to a second roundabout. Go right, along the sea front (there is no entry to the left because of the one way system) St Columba's Cathedral is in front of you  (large red granite building) We are just beyond. 

If you enter the town from the South, follow the road through the town till you come to a roundabout - Arygll Square. Take the fourth exit along George street. Carry on along the seafront till you approach a second roundabout, go straight ahead and we are just beyond St Columba's Cathedral.

There is  private parking to the front and rear of the hotel

 

Oban

Oban offers much to see and do. Visit the harbour and watch the activity of the ferries and fishing boats. Climb to McCaig's tower and enjoy the views over Kerrera, Mull, Lismore and Morven. Look down to Oban's waterfront, watch the boats and ferries arriving and departing. Visit the local Distillery where Oban Malt Whisky is produced.  Go hill walking on many of the local forestry walks. Go fishing, scuba diving, or perhaps sailing, Go shopping, visit a pub or restaurant - there are many to choose from in Oban. Visit the Corran Halls and see some of the many concerts and theatrical productions that are on. Lorn and Argyll  has much to offer and Oban is a great centre to explore it from.
